Messy Hair Bun? I thought I would take a few moments to show you how to create a messy hair bun in 6 simple steps. This is a great effortless look that will suit all hair types. Remember the bun can be created to the side of the nape area or behind the ear or go for the high fashion look and rock it on top of your head. Creating a Messy Hair Bun Step One in Creating a Messy Hair Bun Take all your hair into a ponytail. You can use your fingers as a comb, which will create a much more textured look or your brush. Remember, where you decide to place the ponytail will become the base and position of the bun. Step Two in Creating a Messy Hair Bun Once you have placed a ponytail in your hair, take your sponge bun and place the ponytail into the sponge bun till the bun is sitting at the base of the ponytail. Step Three in Creating a Messy Hair Bun Take your hair grips and pin the hair bun into securely in to position. Look to pin in around 5-8 grips depending on your hair thickness. Step Four in Creating a Messy Hair Bun You now need to take the hair from the ponytail and spread the hair out. You may find that a few sprays of your hairspray will help. Step Five in Creating a Messy Hair Bun You now need to wrap the hair around the bun and tuck the hair underneath the sponge bun. Remember it doesn’t have to be to neat. You want the texture as it will help create a more lived in look to the bun. Step Six in Creating a Messy Hair Bun The remaining step is to secure the hair around the sponge bun. The easiest option is to take another snag-free hair elastic and place it over the bun. Alternatively you can always go around and place hair grips around the shape to secure the bun. Once you have secured the hair into place, finish the look by using hair spray and some shine spray. A Messy Hair Bun Hope this helps you all. James.
